The Birthday Party

                                 

Pinter use silence in play and it is makes more effectively as we know that Silence express more than words. ‘Silence’ which is in play it is more effective to convey the message which Pinter wants to say. The play ‘Birth day Party’ is about condition of Artist, who they are suffered in society. They have not freedom to tall clearly. We have many examples in our society who Artist suffers from society only because of his thought that they express clearly. Like salman rashdi wee all know who he is suffering.                     Harriet Irving Deer’s article they toll about how Movie and Drama is different. In movie camera can move and what director wants to show us we can see but in stage performance in is not possible.   In very minor things dram and movie is different. In my point of view beginning of the movie and middle is interesting but for a sometime we feel boring but this is not happen in dictation of the play. The sound in the play which used by Pinter is is very bad we don’t like it. And it is represented mentality of character. Silence and pauses are use it is created fear among the audience.  Mirror never shows us our self it is. Mirror is use here as to hide something. In movie one seen Meg prepare herself that is symbolically sue that she is don no know the truth or she do not wants to know. Toy Dram is symbolized may be Stanley is dreamer. We generally believed that newspaper gives us information which happens in society and we believe it is true. This play also connects us or shows us reality of society. In act-1 we can find hat Stanley already has some kind of fear. May be he is already knows that something will wrong happed with him. In act-2 we cannot understand what is happing in darkness what is happing we cannot see that somebody raped lulu people thought that it is Stanley but we don’t know truth.  Suddenly in act 3 Stanley cannot speak and his dressing and look everything is change so we cannot know that what is happed in Ast-2.  Act-3 Petey knows everything that what is happing with Stanley but that even he does not say anything to Meg.                     Lulu’s some scenes omitted from the movie because movie is for view and book is for reading so in movie it was not needed while in book it was needed to make our self clear. Effect of danger we find in movie on birth day party scene while blind man’s bluff game they are play and in darkness some voices that heard but we cannot see anything. Newspaper play very important point in play while Mag ask about new so Petey told about news it was represented Mag desire about chilled. At the end Petey hide some pieces of newspaper it means he do not wants to say Mag about Stanly that he is not with them. While McCann playing blind man’s bluff during that time camera at his had it represent that he is in search. In Stanly case camera is top of the room it is represent cage. He is in cage. He is not free to use is art. Society does not permit him to use his art on his way. Play and movie both have same charm Pinter wants to talk about art, politics, and truth this message convey by play and movie both. With the help of movie we can easily understand about symbols with present by Pinter while in play somewhat not possible or hard.
